When I joined the group, the format of music in Polythene Pam was vocal and acoustic covers of Beatles songs. Polythene Pam was named after the Beatles song, and the lineup consisted of my friends from our weekly karaoke, Anna and another person who left the group soon after I joined.

Eventually, another friend from karaoke, Jenn, joined the group. Now a trio, we dressed in matching outfits and continued the vocal/acoustic format for a bit before picking up instruments: Anna with electric guitar, Jenn with bass, and myself on drums.

Two albums followed: “Just Listen” on June 7, 2019, and “Metaphors (For Fools)” on September 21, 2021.

As of March 2026, our band still performs occasionally at various venues in the Bay Area.

I also created a custom font based on the handwritten lettering I created, as seen above in our logo.
